APS1 is a multiorgan autoimmune disease caused by deleterious AIRE variants that impair central immune tolerance. This satellite symposium will address basic aspects of thymic epithelial cell biology, novel genetic mechanisms underlying APS1, high-throughput autoantibody screening and new autoantigen discovery, and novel pathogenetic mechanisms of T cell-driven tissue injury that have led to the development of effective personalized treatments in APS1 patients.
