Dr. Piccirillo is a Full Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology of McGill University. He is Senior Scientist and Co-leader of the Infectious Diseases, and Immunity in Global Health Program of the RI-MUHC. He is Director of the Centre of Excellence in Translational Immunology and co-leader of the CoVaRR-Net Immunological and Vaccine Protection pillar. Lastly, he his Director of the RI-MUHC ImmunoPhenotyping Platform of the RI-MUHC. Dr. Piccirillo is an immunologist who specializes in the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies to monitor and manipulate Foxp3+ regulatory T cell function and, ultimately, modulate immune responses in infectious, autoimmune, and inflammatory disorders.
